Ross. He's the most down to earth(and probably Jen) compared to others. He has a great job, good sense of humour and he's smart....also does a lot of funny things. Well balanced character.

RACHEL forever!! Of course the others are very funny too, but I remember the first episode of friends that I watched, she was awesome!!!! At first she's the reason I got hooked at the show, then I started watching Friends and eventually loved all the characters. =D
