I think you are right, friends has set such a high standard, no show will ever reach it, I don't think. But to be honest, Joey was never my fave character, nor did i think he was a strong one, so i don't think the spin-off show is as good as it good be, without even beginning to compare it to friends. If i didn't know Joey as a charcater from friends, i don't think i would still be watching, I only really watch for Matty and keep them ratings up! lol It does occasionally give you good laughs, it's just not then good as it could be...

Maybe because all the other had pair of, think about it Mon and Chan, Ross and Rach, Mike and Phoebe... it wouldn't of been as fun wathcing a married couple, as it would watching a single guy getting up to new things, you know... Maybe they thought there was still some left in Joey, plus maybe Matt was the only one willing to stay in TV... the other seemed very keen to move onto films, directing, own shows, etc. I just didn't see Joey as being that strong, he was all the same, if you get me, there was nothing underneith that you could dig out, or anything, he was basically, what you get is what you see. And i think they needed a different character to have their own show, other than a "what you see, is what you get" sort of guy, to keep you intreged. But that's just my view... atleast they gave it a go!

I do, yeah, I mean it's like two poeple together, so it's both of their qualities in one role, so to speak. Joey, just, I'm not sure, he wasn't strong enough to have is own show, he needed someone beside him, like a girlfriend or something, but then again i guess they did try and do that with Michael and Alex and things, I just don't think it worked, because they weren't good characters themselves, well Alex is actually cool, I like her. lol
