They had to leave Joey alone so that it did'nt leave any complications when they started his new show... the whole point was that he was making a fresh new start!

BTW UK Joey fans, channel 5 have dropped the show and announced that they won't even be showing the 2nd season (Grr), their reason?... beacuse they felt that at £500.000 an epiisode it just wasn't worth the money considering how many viewers it lost within the first six episoeds! Ah well...
